Your psychologist

In the therapy, I always focus on you and your experience of your life. Humans are unique beings with different stories, terms, and wants for our lives, and the therapy will therefore be organized based on you and your specific lifeworld.

I will emphasize on creating a good relationship based on trust where you can feel safe, so you will be met with openness and curiosity, and I will always see you as the whole person you are.

I, as a person and psychologist, am relaxed and down to earth, and it is very important to me to create an atmosphere where there is room for you to be authentically present. The therapy will focus on how you can meet your world freely, nuanced, and openly, in regards to leeding a life you find meeningful.

Educational background

I got my Masters from Aalborg University where I have specialized within the human experience in its context. I wrote my bachelors about the human consciousness, and my master thesis on the experience of shame viewed in a cultural psychological and relational perspective. During my masters, I have participated in the professions program 'Cultural Psychology' where we focused on human interactions with their surroundings and relationships. We are born, developed and shaped within a cultural context with specific expectations and norms, and we learn to understand other people based on this context. After my studies I have, in collaboration with my guidance counsellor and professor from my masters programme, written and published a research paper based on my master thesis (https://journals.sagepub.com)

I chose to become a psychologist because I have a great passion for understanding and relating to the human experience of life, comprising how we are developed and shaped while interacting with/within the dilemma filled world around us.

I was authorized by Psykolognævnet in December 2025.

Work experience

I have work experience from Paedagogical Psychological Counselling (or PPR; Pædagogisk Psykologisk Rådgivning) where I worked with the well-being of children and youths in relation to their school life. In this work, I obtained knowledge about human development, comprising also decvelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism. In this work, I have been especially preoccupied with meeting the families with a ressource oriented perspective, with focus on the situations and contexts in which the child succeed, bacause we with this knowledge can understand how the child is best met, on the basis on needs and terms, they have.

Moreover, I have worked in a private, clinical practice where I had short-term therapeutic courses with primarily adult clients. Here, I met clients with challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief or life crisises. Methodically I worked within a cognitive behavioral framework with focus on the client's thoughts, feelings and actions and the interactions between these. I have previously worked as a private helper for a teenager with autism, and I have been volunteering as an online advisor, and have a lot of experience working with youths.
